In 2002, Doug Hyde was a young artist painting pictures for his family and friends in his spare time but by 2005, he was named as the UK’s best selling published artist, and in 2023 Doug is celebrating 20 years as a professional artist.

Doug’s extraordinary rise from virtual unknown to the most popular living artist in the UK has been meteoric. Yet, despite his phenomenal success, he has never lost touch with the realities of life and has continued to produce work based around his love for his family, his unfailing optimism and his sheer enthusiasm for life.

Inspired by his own emotional responses to life, Doug’s intention is to provoke a positive response in others; his success in this aim can be seen not only by the huge impact his work has made on the British and international art scene, but also by the money he has raised for two important charities - “Look Good…Feel Better” and “Families for Children” - through the sale of his artwork.

Wherever possible, we prefer to deliver original artwork personally using our own Startle vehicles and team, allowing us to take particular care of your piece throughout its journey.

Where personal delivery isn't practical, we'll use a carefully selected specialist delivery partner or trusted courier, choosing the most appropriate method for the artwork, its size, value and destination.

Whichever method we use, your artwork will be fully insured, and we'll always discuss the delivery arrangements with you before it is dispatched.
