    FAQ's

Lhouette, born Ciarán Robinson in 1985, is a British contemporary artist known for his bold and innovative fusion of street art and pop culture. His distinctive style, often referred to as "Pop Maximalism," combines vibrant colours, layered textures, and thought-provoking imagery to create striking, modern compositions. Lhouette’s art bridges nostalgia with cutting-edge cultural commentary.

After serving in the Royal Navy, Lhouette developed his artistic identity through exposure to various global cultures and experiences. Immersing himself in East London’s vibrant art scene, he reconnected with his creative roots. He further honed his craft by studying at Birkbeck University of London, eventually founding his own studio in 2012. His unique journey has profoundly shaped his artistic vision.

Lhouette’s creations showcase a wide array of materials and techniques. He uses aerosol paints, high-pigment acrylics, metallic gilds, resins, and diamond dust to achieve his signature layered and textured look. Employing stencilling, hand painting, and collage, his process combines raw urban elements with refined finishes, making each piece a dynamic visual experience.

Lhouette’s work often explores themes of consumerism, nostalgia, and the influence of digital culture. By juxtaposing retro designs, iconic figures, and modern digital symbols like app icons or streaming logos, he creates artworks that examine the intersection of past and present. His pieces offer commentary on contemporary society while maintaining a playful and approachable aesthetic.

Lhouette has showcased his art internationally, with exhibitions in renowned galleries and art fairs across cities such as London, New York, Hong Kong, and San Francisco.
