Few contemporary artists blend popular culture, street art and traditional craftsmanship quite like Lhouette. Known for his distinctive stencil techniques, playful cultural references and unmistakable visual language, Lhouette has spent more than fifteen years developing a body of work that continually challenges the boundaries between urban and fine art. This autumn marks an exciting new chapter in that creative journey, with two remarkable additions to his celebrated Angel Cake story: Angel Cake / Seq.01, a special anniversary edition honouring the character's origins, and A Fall from Grace, an ambitious new sculpture collection that transforms one of his most recognisable creations into three dimensions. Together, these releases celebrate both the evolution of an iconic image and the artist's enduring appetite for experimentation.
Angel Cake / Seq.01 — Celebrating 15 Years
Fifteen years after the original release of Angel Cake, Lhouette revisits one of the most recognisable images from his artistic journey with Angel Cake / Seq.01, a special anniversary edition celebrating where the story began.
Returning to the original first-generation stencil format, this new Mini Angel edition captures the colour, craftsmanship and playful character that have made Angel Cake such an enduring part of Lhouette's work.
Each piece is meticulously created in the artist's studio using 30 individually layered aerosol colours, complemented by delicate pastel silver leaf over a specially treated ply panel. An artist-grade UV-protective satin varnish completes the composition, which is presented in a natural wood tray frame.
The result is a beautifully considered anniversary release — a celebration of an iconic image, fifteen years of artistic evolution and the intricate processes behind Lhouette's distinctive style.

Angel Cake in Three Dimensions — A New Chapter in Sculpture
For more than fifteen years, Angel Cake has been a defining presence in Lhouette's work, evolving from its origins as a spray-painted stencil into paintings, limited editions and intricate mixed-media compositions. Now, the familiar figure takes on an entirely new dimension.
The ambitious A Fall from Grace marks a significant milestone in this evolution, transforming Angel Cake into a monumental bronze sculpture. Standing nearly two metres tall and weighing approximately 500kg, the work brings Lhouette's unmistakable visual language into physical form on an extraordinary scale.
Developed at Lhouette Studios, the original model was constructed using an intricate arrangement of individually cut and layered stencils, allowing the artist's signature detailing to become part of the sculptural surface. The model was then taken to Pangolin Editions, the renowned Gloucestershire foundry, where specialist mould-making, casting and finishing techniques brought the bronze to life.
The finished sculpture combines highly polished bronze with a contrasting recessed patina, revealing layers of detail, symbolism and texture. It is a striking demonstration of how an image so closely associated with Lhouette's two-dimensional work can acquire a completely different presence through sculpture.
But the story doesn't end with monumental scale. This exploration of Angel Cake continues through a developing collection of sculptures in different sizes, materials and finishes, including more intimate, collectible pieces suited to display within the home.
Together, these works represent an exciting new direction for Lhouette — bringing the character, craftsmanship and imagination of Angel Cake beyond the canvas and into three dimensions.
