Artist Profile

Contemporary artist and Cambridge academic Tabitha Millett has developed a distinctive visual language built around form, texture and carefully considered materials.

Her abstract work draws inspiration from minimalism, brutalist design, architecture and the Bauhaus, resulting in compositions that feel both sculptural and highly refined. Each piece is created using a bespoke palette of hand-mixed colours, combined with materials including marble dust and fragments of limestone to introduce depth, texture and subtle variations in surface.

Colour is often used sparingly, allowing moments of shimmer and intensity to contrast with Millett’s signature dense matte black. Specially formulated to absorb as much light as possible, these dark passages create an extraordinary sense of depth and the illusion of a void within the artwork.

Her powerful, contemporary work has attracted collectors across the UK and Europe.
