Artist Profile

Nicola graduated from the City and Guilds of London Art School in 1993 with a degree in Decorative/Fine Art. In 2005, she moved to West Norfolk, a transition that marked the true beginning of her artistic journey. The stunning coastline and abundant wildlife of this region serve as her primary sources of inspiration, fuelling her creative process.

Continually striving to depict life in fresh and exciting ways while retaining a touch of realism, Nicola's artistic process involves building images through the application of multiple layers of collage and acrylic paint. This technique results in unexpected outcomes, making each piece truly unique. The interplay of textures and colours invites viewers into her paintings, offering a new perspective with each glance.
Nicola is captivated by the serendipity of collage, which ensures that no two paintings are ever the same.

This individuality is a hallmark of her work, drawing viewers in and encouraging them to discover new details each time they engage with a piece. Through her innovative approach, Nicola brings a dynamic and ever-evolving vision to her art, reflecting the vibrant world around her.
