Easy Eye brings together many of the elements that make Teis Albers' work so distinctive — photography, botanical imagery, graphic composition and richly layered mixed media.

Flowers and natural forms emerge through contrasting areas of colour and texture, with fragments appearing to sit at different depths within the composition. Look more closely and smaller details begin to reveal themselves, giving the artwork a sense of discovery that changes depending on where your eye settles.

Teis begins his compositions digitally, combining photography and graphic elements before developing the finished artwork by hand using traditional materials. The result is a piece that balances the precision of graphic design with the texture and individuality of a physically worked surface.
